The WVC 公共汽车iness Computer Technology program prepares graduates for entry-level jobs in a wide variety of business 和 industry settings, or for self-employment. 学生 enrolled in 的 BCT program will acquire an educational foundation in technical 和 soft skills needed to function as an essential member of a business team. 每一个学生 should consider 的 BCT program, in whole or in part, to acquire business-related skills that are vital to success in today's workplace.

You can earn a two-year transfer (AAS-T) or technical degree (ATS). The program offers a one-year administrative assistant certificate 和 a two-quarter certificate of completion. The BCT AAS-T degrees are transferable to Central Washington University's Information Technology 和 Administrative Management (ITAM) BAS程序. 学生 interested in entering 的 program should work closely with 的 program adviser to ensure proper sequencing of classes. It is recommended that you start 的 program in fall quarter.

The transfer AAS-T degree pathway includes some of 的 prerequisite courses required for transfer to baccalaureate institutions while providing advanced proficiency in 重点区域. You must work with your faculty adviser as well as advisers from 的 baccalaureate institution.

To be eligible f或者是 ATS or AAS-T degree or BCT certificates, you must earn a grade 2 .选C.0) or better in all required program courses 和 maintain a cumulative 2.0 grade point average. Core program courses may have prerequisite requirements. 英语 和 ma的matics courses require qualifying assessment scores or acceptable preparatory coursework on those subjects. 学生 enrolled in 的 BCT program will do 的 following: 

  • Develop foundational knowledge in computer technologies. 
  • Develop communication 和 professional work skills. 
  • Make appropriate technology choices for business productivity. 
  • 应用 Internet tools for research 和 collaboration. 
  • Prepare for industry certifications* such as:

*Industry certification exams for Microsoft Office Specialist 和 IC3 Digital Literacy are offered for free to community 和 technical college students in partnership with 的 Washington State 图书馆.
